Letter to myself years back..
It's crazy how I suddenly came across this letter I wrote to myself from years back. Actually I never had the guts to totally publish this kind of stuffs I make online. I was always the shy type when it comes to my sentimental and deep thoughts. This was meant to be read by myself and to be kept somewhere private in some of my files. But I might as well share this thoughts I had in mind years back because why not???
Sometimes the world has its ways of making your life cruel and miserable at the same time. Sometimes you can't even understand which side fate really leads you on. And sometimes you trust people too much that you have put down all those guarded walls you have built and end up losing yourself. Life is hard but a pretty hell of a ride. We meet people by purpose and not by chance. Some people choose to stay in your life but sadly some has to leave because the story is over. And each person that leaves marks a scar that no one can ever erase. Life has to go on even if you do not want the story to end. You just have to believe that destiny will find its way to you. The hurt and pain may subside. Time will heal every heart that was broken. Time will tell when the heart is ready to love again.
Love yourself first. Guard your heart. If necessary, build those thick and chained walls that only one special person can break it. Only one special person can meet up with your standards no matter how high they are. Only one special person will prove and show you what genuine love really is. Don't ever settle for something less than you deserve. Know your worth. Remember, you are a gem.
Let the clock tick and the right time will come. One day you will look back and smile how better and more independent woman you are right now. But cry if you must. Let all your emotions explode like thunder and rain. Make yourself feel better in ways you cannot fathom. Every day might be a struggle but keep in mind that every single day you are one step closer to the better version of yourself. No need to rush. Know your worth and everything else will follow.
Ask guidance from the Lord to lead you to the path where He wants you to take. Seek and you will find. One day it will all make perfect sense. You are a gem. Gems are rare and hard to find. Only a determined person will pursue you no matter how high and hard those walls you built. You will be loved without any hesitations. You will be loved without any complains and doubts. You will be loved no matter what because he will be the person who will show you how beautiful life is just by looking through your eyes. One day, someone will walk in through that door and sweep you off your feet. Give you the love and effort you've been dying to see from the wrong people. Don't just give up on love just because people gave up on you.
